On October 22nd, students participated in the Ryutadaisha Autumn Festival and Procession held at Ryutadaisha Shrine.
They had the opportunity to witness the “Taikodai Mikuri,” where individuals carried the portable shrine into the shrine grounds. Students were fascinated by the sight of the townspeople carrying the portable shrine right in front of them.
Additionally, students also took part in the “mochi-maki” event that followed the “Taikodai Mikuri.” It was heartwarming to see the students with red and white mochi in hand, wearing joyful smiles.
Shortly after arriving in Japan, students had the chance to immerse themselves in Japanese culture, and it was a moment filled with excitement and anticipation.
We hope that in the coming year, students can continue to use the Japanese language and enjoy such experiences with a more mature perspective.
